1. Subscription Plans & Validity

• ₹49 plan → 2 months validity
• ₹119 plan → 5 months validity
• Revenue from each plan is allocated monthly across its validity period:
  • Example: ₹49 (2 months) → revenue per month = ₹24.50
  • Example: ₹119 (5 months) → revenue per month = ₹23.80
• This prevents overpaying in a single month and ensures payouts align with active months only.

2. Active Subscription Check

• If a plan is expired → the user is treated as a non-subscriber.
• Streams from expired plans are not counted for payouts.

3. Stream Counting Rules

• Subscribed users → valid stream if listened ≥30 seconds.
• Max 1 stream per user per track per payout period (replays don’t count again).
• Different songs by the same user are valid separately.
• Non-subscribed or expired-plan users → ignored for payouts.

4. Revenue & Payout Distribution

1. Monthly Active Revenue (R_month):

   R_month = Sum of monthly allocation from all active subscribers

2. Artist Pool:

   R_a = R_month × 0.60

3. App Share:

   R_g = R_month × 0.40

4. Valid Streams:
   • For each artist a → valid streams S_a
   • Total valid streams:

     S_total = ∑ S_a

5. Artist Payout:

   Payout_a = R_a × (S_a ÷ S_total)

5. Safeguards (to avoid abuse & losses)

• Minimum payout threshold: ₹100 (small earnings roll over)
• Fraud detection (unusual play patterns, bots)
• Refund/chargeback reserve: keep 5–10% buffer
• No payout if

  S_total = 0

  (no streams)

6. Example with Expired Plan

• 1 user subscribed on ₹49 plan (2 months)
• Month 1 → revenue considered = ₹24.50
• Month 2 → revenue considered = ₹24.50
• Month 3 onwards → plan expired, no revenue counted, streams ignored
